Azure Backup and VMware VMs: Backup, Restore, Repeat!

We are planning to roll out Win 10 linked clone desktops with Microsoft 365 E5 user subscription licenses. I've found info on how to install Office 365, but am wondering how the Windows 10 licensing will work. I think I'll need to install Windows 10 Enterprise on the gold image. When a user who is provisioned for Microsoft 365 E5 accesses the desktop "magic happens" and the Win 10 features are enabled for M365 E5. At least that's what I've gathered from some articles here and there. I'd be interested in feedback from someone who has actually done this.

I have done something similar when I signed up for the standalone Microsoft Intune subscription, which includes Windows desktop OS licenses. When I did this I was given access to the Volume Licensing portal and could download Windows OS ISOs and see the license keys.

I am assuming of course that Microsoft 365 does it the same way.
