Outlook Mac 16.60.22031302 won't start (code signing issue?)

Copper Contributor

UPDATE: I uninstalled all Office apps (carefully following instructions here) and then I re-installed Office. Outlook now starts OK.  Leaving this post here to help others who end up with the same problem.

My Mac (Monterrey 12.2.1) today froze up and I had to hard reboot. After the reboot, Outlook (16.60.22031302) won't start, although all other apps (including other Office apps) start OK.

The crash report suggests that it's a code signing problem. I reinstalled Office but that didn't fix the issue. Any suggestions for how to get Outlook working again?

Here's the content of the MacOS crash report, if it helps:

@justingrant Any details on this? I am having a similar issue, starts for a second and then just closes.

@peterkorian as noted in my edited OP, I reinstalled all Office apps and reinstalled, and this seemed to fix the problem. Make sure to follow the instructions in the Microsoft Support doc I linked to; dragging the apps into trash from the Applications folder is not enough.

@justingrant Appreciate the follow up, I'll do that now and see. I had not uninstalled all apps, just outlook at first.

@justingrant Were you able to get your contacts and folders?
