Using user profile hire date in Search Results Web Part

Brass Contributor

Hello,

I am trying to get the user hire date and presenting in a Search Results Web Part in a SharePoint Online tenant.

In on-prem SharePoint, we had a crawled property SPS-HireDate which we could then map to a managed property and use it in Search Results or Content Search Web Parts.

From what I see, in SharePoint Online, there is no crawled property mapped to the user profile Hire Date property.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Miguel Isidoro

I am wondering if this is not caused by the fact that the hire date may be empty in all user profiles for the tenant. Must at least one user profile have a valid date in the user profile Hire Date property so that the property gets crawled?

Hello,

The problem was exactly that. None of the user profiles had the property filled.

Thanks,

Miguel
