Update on Microsoft 365 Groups Rebranding

Microsoft

As we announced in our April blog post, we’ve started a journey to rebrand Office 365 Groups to be Microsoft 365 Groups. Since April, we’ve made a lot of progress, and we wanted to give you an update. For starters, we are thrilled to announce that the Microsoft 365 admin center, the Azure portal, Yammer, Stream, and Planner now use the new Microsoft 365 Groups branding.

As you can see from the screen shots below, the Microsoft 365 admin center now lists Microsoft 365 Groups as a type instead of Office 365 Groups, as does the Azure portal.

The remaining applications and services, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, My Apps portal, and the other admin centers (e.g., Exchange, Power Bi, Compliance, etc.) within Microsoft 365, are expected to have Microsoft 365 Groups rebranding completed by end of September.

We’ll report back here with an update in early October. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any comments or feedback.
