Teams Channel Group Calendar - Month View in SharePoint instead of list

We have a SharePoint site for a large group within our organisation.  There is a Teams channel associated with this group that we use to coordinate recurring events in the group calendar, i.e. these regular events are created from within the Teams Group inviting group members.

 

We want to add a calendar view on the SharePoint site that provides a 'month-by-month' view of the Group Calendar events. When we try to so this all we can get is a list of upcoming events with no option to view in a standard Outlook/Desktop calendar view.

 

Am I missing something?  How do I get the Teams Channel Group Calendar to appear in a familiar calendar view in SharePoint?
