Standard, Project, Organisational or interest group ?

Today when trying to create a new group I got different 4 options

Standard, Project, Organisational or interest group. Is there someone who can explain what the difference is, or have a link to some information?

There is a thread in the Groups space where we have been discussing this. I have not seeing any slight difference when creating a Group using one approach or another...according to @cfiessinger this is just an experiment the team is doing ^-^
