Outlook desktop only shows 12 months of Groups emails

Copper Contributor

We see that Groups folders in Outlook desktop are limited to showing items from the last 12 months, no matter if sync settings for Cached Exchange Mode are increased to download all mail. Any workarounds apart from viewing these items on the web? I've been unable to find this limitation documented anywhere.

That's the expected behavior, as documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/troubleshoot/user-interface/only-subset-items-synchronized
You can use OWA to access the full set of messages.
Thanks Vasil, just what we were looking for!

I had the exact same issue and was able to fix it by setting the cache mode to 1 year, restart Outlook

Extend the cach to 2 years, restart Outlook again, let it update the all the folders, then I saw 2 years of emails in Outlook,

Set the cache to 3 years and did the same as before(restart lest it load more messages...)

After extending gradually the cache, then messages have all loaded properly.

It would strangely not load the groups message if I tried to set it to the max.
