The same naming policy applies to both DLs and Office 365 Groups. You can't have a different policy for Groups, unless you implement it yourself by creating a PowerShell script that checks all group display names for compliance with policy and updates as necessary. Should take about 15 minutes to write (for me, anyone competent will take less time).
