when we add guests into our groups through office 365, and communicate out to them, they will see at the bottom of their emails, 3 links one of them being "view group files". In our tests, the guest is automatically added to the Edit group for a team, Teams. But they are also able to access SharePoint site content, document libaries and customize lists.
We just want them to access the General folder where we collaborate with them in Teams.
Is this possible? Or how close can we get in allowing them access only in this Team folder area?

SolutionHello,
As long as they are part of Office 365 groups they have access to the Teams, calendar, and files like the other user. You may need to remove them from the Office 365 group and share the individual files\folders from the SharePoint with their email.
Please let me know if you need more help.
Thanks.
