Auto-accept cancelled meetings on group calendar?

I have a department in my organization that would like for their O365 group calendar to automatically remove "cancelled:" meetings from the calendar. The will routinely send meeting invitations from other calendars and add the group to the attendees list. Should that meeting be cancelled, it still appears on the group calendar until they switch over and delete it manually. Is there any way around this? It's impacting adoption.

@Joanna Lovett not sure if you got the answer to this but have you tried 
Set-CalendarProcessing Groupemail@company.com -RemoveOldmeetingmessages $true ?
