As per November release of MAU 4.41, there is a new setting:
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will be automatically updated and relaunched if there are no unsaved document changes
This setting should be optional as this can have an impact on workflows.
e.g. Users can have PPTs open on a Team call, sharing the file on their screen, and if they aren't editing the file the app will close when an update is available. THis causes disruption during calls
Create a key in the config files (for MDM config) that prevents force close of apps in this instance
