Our clients often need to download formidable spilling ranges from their ERP systems in a single custom function call.    The minimal repro repository mentioned in this bug: https://github.com/OfficeDev/office-js/issues/2786 emulates the GI() function in Velixo add-in.   It's one of our most popular functions in our legacy XLL product and a big selling point for our company. It routinely returns dozens of thousands of rows which the customer pivots, sorts, filters, and aggregates in Excel.   It needs to work in exactly the same way across the legacy/new office.js based product, otherwise we simply can't promote migration to the new cross platform solution.   There is no workaround to the problem which makes it so urgent and painful: we need backwards compatibility with our old product so it needs to remain a single custom function call. As per MSFT in the GitHub issue, there is no addin <-> host request batching within function calls, only across multiple different function calls.   IMO the best solution to this would be to abstract away any payload size limit for CF return values from the add-in developers — and automatically batch those requests in chunks.   ... With the new NCE changes to M365 licensing, the commitment term for a license becomes extra important because it affects their price. When querying information about licenses or subscribedSkus, there is no information telling us what the term duration (P1M/P1Y/..) and billing plan (monthly/yearly/..) is.    We need to retrieve this information through the Graph API. ASK: support nested security groups in M365 Centralized Deployment   Most organizations have already set up security groups before deploying Add-ins. Using those existing groups would be an efficient way to determine what add-ins should get deployed to what users.   But because of Centralized Deployment not supporting nested security groups, organizations are forced to create new dedicated flat security groups for Add-in deployment. Default method - The following authentication methods are not yet supported in Microsoft Graph beta  There is a serious need in the company to add/change/remove MFA login methods to users! There is a problem, for example: 1. If the administrator adds a phone number for the user. And the global policy will specify that the phone call only method is allowed. 2. The user will get an error when trying to log in to resources via the NPS extension for RDG (because he will receive a text message), and when trying to log in to resources restricted by the policy (for example office.com) he will be asked to add the MFA method and redirected to his personal account https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info 3. Graph API currently requires delegated permissions to create/read and manipulate tasks. This is not even with other Graph endpoints (e.g messages, events) and should be fixed for uniform access. Excel for Windows has supported adding Shapes inside (not over) Charts for many years. Excel Online does not (if a Chart contains Shapes, they will not be displayed) Would it be possible to support this feature in Excel Online? For instance, in my company, we rely heavily on arrows to show CAGRs. The Shapes being inside the Chart makes it easy to move of Copy / Paste a chart with the arrows. It avoids forcing additional UI interaction onto the user to authenticate, especially since they will be using the add-in from an already signed in location so a second sign in may create confusion (OWA, Outlook Desktop).   Request is to add support for generating tokens that can be used to call MS Graph to this method. Currently to achieve the same UI less authorization you would need to follow the SSO implementation instructions of creating a server that can obtain the authorization token for MS Graph when passed the access token the add-in can retrieve. However this adds additional technical overhead and complexity for an add-in used across multiple organizations as it would be necessary to create infrastructure for users to register and manage the client secret with the server once they configure the Azure application. Background I recently posted two questions to Stack Overflow: Outlook Add-In: how to automatically reply based on custom logic? Outlook Add-In: how to simulate automatic reply with external service? In brief, I am trying to find a way to send an automatic reply to an email based on custom logic, e.g. whether the sender is verified according to an external service. (The automatic reply feature native to Outlook is extremely limited.)   The Oulook Add-Ins team answered that this is not currently possible because web add-ins require the context of an item to run. So, a user would need to manually select a message before the add-in could do anything.   Another Stack Overflow user answered that this is currently possible but with VSTO add-ins only. Unfortunately, VSTO is a very old framework and only works with Windows and desktop Outlook, while modern users often use web Outlook on other platforms.   Request: Allow Add-Ins to Run Without Item Context Therefore, I request that Outlook add-ins be allowed to run without item context, so they can take action without the user manually selecting an item. This would allow me to build such an automatic reply feature.   Of course, it will be important to tightly scope what the add-in can do without item context and make users aware of what they're agreeing to by installing such an add-in.
