Is Microsoft 365 Copilot retrieve information from public internet, when we prompt?

No, I guess.

I believe that it retrieves data from Microsoft graph, plug-ins, and other connected external sources.

Just to be clear about Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Your Data is your Data. So output is based on your Tenant Data.

You can connect Microsoft Graph with your public website but not all other internet website.
Copilot is connected to Internet but the semantic index is in your tenant
