CoPilot not loading in Teams, available in every other app!

Copper Contributor

I paid for an upgrade to get CoPilot with my business account, upgrading my M365 subscription.

CoPilot shows up in every single application EXCEPT Teams, which is the app I wanted it for! I've used it successfully elsewhere, and really needed some assistance with a client who is very meeting heavy, and was desperate for something to ease the lift.

To say that I am more than a little annoyed is an understatement. I have CoPilot in every other app except teams - it doesn't show on the App or online, and I've double checked all my admin settings, making sure everything is set correctly, but it doesn't even show up as an option. I've updated or attempted updates to my license almost daily.

It's been over two weeks at this point, and I'm not a happy camper that the one app I really needed it in is the one Microsoft is withholding for no reason that I can fathom.

Anyone ever found a solution besides Microsoft finally deciding to give you what you were paying for at some unknown, random point in time?

I understand your frustration with Copilot not showing up in Teams even though you have it for other applications. Here are a few things you can try besides waiting for Microsoft:

0. Create a link of the Copilot for teams and share it to access the Copilot link directly in teams - this should be accessible if all license and permissions are assigned.

1. Check Teams Cache: Close Teams completely.
Navigate to the following folder: "%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams" (replace %appdata% with your userAppData folder location).
Delete all files and folders within this directory.
Restart Teams and see if CoPilot appears.

2. Verify Microsoft Account:
Ensure you're signed in to Teams with the same Microsoft account you used to purchase the M365 subscription with CoPilot.

Try signing out of Teams and signing back in.
3. Firewall or Antivirus Interference:
Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software to see if it's blocking CoPilot in Teams.
Be sure to re-enable them after testing.

4. Contact Microsoft Support:
Since you've gone through troubleshooting steps and waited for two weeks, contacting Microsoft Support might be the next best option.

Explain the situation clearly, mentioning you have CoPilot working in other applications and have verified your account and settings.
Thanks, I'll double check a couple of these.
It's definitely frustrating to have paid for Copilot and not have it working in Teams, the very app you need it for. Here are some solutions you can try besides waiting for Microsoft:

Re-Pin Copilot in Teams (if applicable):
Microsoft recently transitioned Copilot from the M365 Chat app to a pinned app directly in Teams. If you had the older version, it might not have automatically transitioned. Open Teams, go to the "Chats" section, and see if Copilot is already pinned above your chats. If not, try searching for "Copilot" in the app store and pinning it for quick access.
Be sure too to contact your admin that the Copilot service for Teams was added to your account. Copilot is one license but issued out in 3 services (productivity apps, Teams, and graph grounded chat).

Thanks! I deleted the files in AppData and then restarted Teams.  Copilot immediately showed up in my chat window now.

I signed up for a Copilot license a few days ago and it showed up in all my other apps, but not Teams until I deleted these files and restarted.

Thanks, If solved your problem, please like and select as best response, hope this may help me get some brownies :)...
