Copilot for Teams NOT actually available in Teams Conversations?

I am currently leading a 3-month trial of Copilot for Microsoft 365, for 300 people across different areas and functions of my organisation.  We have been using Microsoft Teams since release and as what I saw "best practice", I advised people to use Teams conversations for all project related work, to keep everything in a central location for that Project.  The fact the "Copilot for Teams", is not actually available in the "Teams Tab", seems shocking to me, and massive amounts of information does not seem to be available to Copilot.  Is this going to be an upcoming feature?  It's not on the "Roadmap" that I can see (Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365).  With one month to go on our 3-month trial, it is not looking hopeful.  We have far more negative results with Copilot than positive and given the cost per user is almost the same as our E5 licences, it is difficult to justify.  It is a shame because I have been using and developing in Office apps since the early 1990's and advise and have been advising and educating on Office apps and SharePoint across my company for many years.  I realise this is an MVP release, but right now it does not even feel minimally viable to me (for the cost).  My biggest concern is that with early adopters, maybe getting put off, they may not reconsider for some time, if at all.  That is certainly likely to be the case in my larger, multinational organisation, where "approvals" for larger purchases require much justification.
