The single most important feature lacking in OneNote is the ability to share individual pages and sections. As it currently stands, a whole new notebook is needed for each different combination of users. If a single page or section is to be shared with an extra person, you must create an entire notebook just for that purpose, which quickly becomes unwieldy and disorganised.
Page and section sharing has long been the most-requested feature addition to OneNote, including over 6000 votes on the now-deprecated UserVoice platform. Users have been crying out for this feature, and have watched many other less-needed features developed instead. We would love to hear an update from Microsoft about the status of this feature, which has been hinted at several times but not yet delivered.
