OneNote Windows 10 vs. OneNote 2016

Brass Contributor

Hi,

I have both the OneNote that comes with Windows 10 and OneNote 2016.
Untill now I have used OneNote 2016 (because a long time ago when I started looking at it, it was the only one to handle meeting notes from Outlook), but I am not starting to use OneNote Windows 10 instead, but I have some questions:

Can OneNote in Wondoes 10 handle meeting notes based on Outlook meetings?

It seems that OneNote Windows 10 have more collaboration possibilities, but when I open OneNote online (we are using Office 365 in my organization) it seems to be an online version of my OneNote 2016 and not OneNote in Windows 10 - is there a way to change this? Or have I completely misunderstood something?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Lotte,

Click the "Edit in OneNote" at the top of the online page to open the content in the full / non-web version of OneNote you have installed.

For differences between OneNote 2016 and OneNote, Kirsty Hill's blog is excellent: What’s the difference between OneNote and OneNote 2016? https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/teachers/?p=14935
