Since big sur update Mac Excel is unusable on my MacBook pro. Simple actions such as inserting a line cause the beachball of death to appear and result in 100% CPU and a non-responsive application.
Does anyone else have this issue since upgrading IOS to bigsur?
Is there anything I can do to get Excel working acceptably again?

Version of Excel is a 365 account and version is 16.43.1 (20111006)
version of IOS is11.0.1 (20B29)
