Enhancement for new Earnings Reports - revenue recognition fields

Brass Contributor

Hi MPN folks,

The new Earnings section with its Reports is a welcome step. However, from a financial reporting perspective, it lacks columns to help us recognize revenue correctly month-by-month. Is it possible to add them?

Specifically, for our Azure Marketplace transactable SaaS offer, is it possible to add "Service Start Date", "Service End Date", "Billed Month", and "Billing Model" to the above Earnings Report columns when exported to CSV?

These columns are currently available in Insights -> Marketplace offers -> Revenue -> "Download as CSV" option at the top left. But this report is very noisy due to too many Status types such as "Unreconciled" which causes a Cambrian explosion of events; hence less preferred to the much simplified Earnings report.

Thanks,

Sid

@sid6mathur  We provide similar status in our Revenue report as Transaction history report. There are only two status which are not present in transaction history report - Uncollected and Unreconciled..

Could you please share more details regarding report being noisy?

Hi @JustinRoyal
You are right, I only see Uncollected and Unreconciled as additional event states. So I am OK for now.
However, I think MSFT needs to release a Quickbooks Online connector app that pushes these invoice events, including revenue recognition/accrual accounting data such as service start and service end dates into Quickbooks Online; could you please pass this video on to the appropriate team for consideration? https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=_XAXWgl2Sjo

What's the currently recommended way for a transactable Saas Marketplace ISV to pull invoicing data into Quickbooks Online? I don't see much here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/revenue-dashboard

Thanks,
Sid

I have taken the Quickbooks Online integration topic into a separate thread as it's unrelated to the original post. Apologies.

Hello

I contact you directly, sorry, because i don't find any to contact Microsoft Partner Support.

I'm owner of Microsoft Store App, i get "IAP" revenues, and my Company ask me to provide the "Transactions/Payment" history for the last payment.

But i cannot access anymore the old report, and when i try to access to new Earnings screens, i get a blocking message "Not authorized"

Can you check please ?
