Windows IoT has a long history of leadership in the embedded device ecosystem. Building on the success of the past and incorporating the valued feedback from device builders around the globe, this release is the product of years of iterations and improvements in our collaborations with NXP. On the heels of the i.MX6 and i.MX7 releases in 2018 and 2019, we listened to our customers and significantly invested in R&D with NXP to deliver the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise operating system on Arm. The most significant new functionality of this release includes support for Win32 applications and GPU graphics acceleration. We previewed an early release with select partners last year, continued to make improvements to quality and performance through Public Preview in March, and are proud to release it to general audiences today.
