Social Sessions with Mike GannottiSocial Sessions with Mike Gannotti    I have had the pleasure of knowing, and working with, Code Software’s Steve Bruno for well over 10 years. Steve has been in the Unified Communications space for quite some time and has been living the remote worker life for many years.

In this episode of Social Sessions Code Software’s Steve Bruno and I discuss his present remote work situation on the beaches of Alabama, shifting workforce norms, as well as the needs he is seeing for in depth analytics across the communications stack as companies facilitate their workers remotely. Along the way Steve, like many of us, experiences the real world scenarios of being with family while on a call and even gets up and changes rooms, all wirelessly, as we chat. It’s a great conversation with insight in to how the present scenario will impact many organizations moving forward.

No agenda no takes and no rooms social sessions with Mike janani.

And welcome to another edition of social sessions I am your host Michael gianotti and today I am joined by Steve Bruno Steve welcome to the social sessions.

Remote.

That's a diamond.

Yeah.

No no that was good.

Steven Bruno2:37 PM

We're definitely showing up on all this social media in the streaming sites 'cause they're worth a good laugh but I mean again this is a new preview world for a lot of folks they've never had to even consider things like that whereas for you and I also a little ill prepared just now with tend to get beach house guests.

OK.

Exactly.

Michael Gannotti2:37 PM

It's all good 'cause it's again it's real life right you're at the beach.

Steven Bruno2:37 PM

Yeah.

Michael Gannotti2:37 PM

People are going in and out there mixing drinks.

Steven Bruno2:37 PM

It is.

Michael Gannotti2:37 PM

But you're being productive and when you're done with this your hand the pool.

So.

Steven Bruno2:37 PM

I am done for the day you were standing between me and the beach but I am actually very happy to be part of this conversation.

Because.

Michael Gannotti2:37 PM

You did at some want to share.

Steven Bruno2:37 PM

Huh.

Michael Gannotti2:37 PM

I know you had said you there was something you wanted to share to kind of talk to real quick.

Steven Bruno2:37 PM

Oh about about what codes doing in this space or.

Michael Gannotti2:38 PM

Yeah what what you're up to these days what you guys are up to.

Yep.

Steven Bruno2:38 PM

I mean, I've been a journeyman in this space, going from Microsoft service providers that we're deploying the service to the early days of the Skype room systems, which you know that introduced the annotation capabilities are presenting and writing on content and sharing that content.

To everyone I've been a journeyman, a space, you know, but I have to say that right now I like where I'm at that I am showing really kind of cementing the value. What Unified Communications is? I mean we understood it. Like I said earlier, from the very beginning at this was going to be a game changer in terms how people could be productive. But now with the numbers of people actually doing it and be able to put data and analytics around it and show productivity and show success and so that a good solid Internet connection.

Michael Gannotti2:39 PM

Yep.

Steven Bruno2:38 PM

Quality enough to make a phone call and get work done. That's why I joined code software earlier this year and had no idea when I first started talking that we going through the COVID-19 thing, but it would look. Personally, we're seeing robust adoption of this technology and again in software as a service is built into Azure. It is absolutely I can have customers and I do have customers getting up automatically as a day and suddenly having visibility into.

All their call details, any call challenges they've got is the person using a a properly certified device.

Michael Gannotti2:39 PM

Huh?

Steven Bruno2:39 PM

Um, which I find humorous when I think about my college kids and college folks on teams, I can guarantee that every college student is not using a proper certified Microsoft device for teams they're using whatever, whatever they've got. But for the corporate world, certainly see that option of these devices, headsets, and not everybody wants a headset, right? Speaker phones, video conference, speakerphones, whatever, your choices, whatever fits your lifestyle, you get your office built out and you can be very productive.

From home and again when you're done, you're done so it's exciting to be a part of code and what they're doing with their revealing in terms of the business case for truly doing this, an will be there to support any Microsoft customer that wants to really delve into what the success ratio is. Of there. There you see deployment.

Michael Gannotti2:40 PM

So last kind of wrap it up as you look at what you're doing, 'cause I know you're expanding some of what the Analytics and things that you're bringing back. What can they expect if they wanted to talk to Steve Bruno, they wanna talk code and see what is it that you provide today.

Huh.

Steven Bruno2:40 PM

Absolutely visibility to your entire you see deployment and the company started off in the early days as just doing a common call reporting right because you have very high cost for long distance and whatever they purpose built this solution 6 years ago because the challenges of adding video and collaboration and instant messaging and all the different tools you have it just didn't fit that model so they step back and purpose built a solution that lets you have a single pane of glass so the operation.

The management and the productivity reporting that you're trying to see is a successive any you see it investment.

Michael Gannotti2:41 PM

Oh nice.

Steven Bruno2:41 PM

Customers that have just randomly thrown out 50,000 users are plug in this solution in and getting visibility that they didn't have before called call detail reporting in teams is good but we've got about a 6 year head start on you know massage in that data an section it off for quality reporting plus the real-time API that's worth coming will be able to do dashboards for your knock and the folks that look at the product realized that they have visibility now things that they had to go to several other places to do.

And now that you've got 1500 thousand people out there How do I manage it it wasn't thought of before and so business processes are being invented in real time and codes club a product is there to facilitate that process so that's where they'd get out of a conversation with me a little nerdy but certainly anyone has ever managed a voice deployment with Skype or OCS or teams knows that these tools are invaluable.

So.

Michael Gannotti2:42 PM

Yeah, well, I want to thank you for joining us. So last thing, if somebody wants to get into contact with you, they want to find out more about Analytics. Which should they be doing?

Steven Bruno2:42 PM

I'm certainly they could reach out to stevengotbruno@codesoftware.net, or you can find this on a LinkedIn, found another page or code software.net www.theoldfashionedway.

Yes, absolutely. We wanna talk to folks you know we're doing.

Michael Gannotti2:42 PM

Yep.

Steven Bruno2:42 PM

3 pilots for 30 days to make sure that you know the product works within their environment and they get the data they're looking for.

We have we make people successful with that data so.

Yeah.

Michael Gannotti2:42 PM

Well I don't want to hold you any longer I can hear the waves rolling the pool of splashing so thank you Steve for joining us today.

Steven Bruno2:43 PM
