Last week in a Healthcare and Life Sciences customer meeting the issue around training users who are being on-boarded to Office 365 came up. The organization was planning work around a number of training initiatives, but they were looking for some quick hits around the Office suite as well as Teams. The ask from the customer was if we could provide them with some links from which they could quickly put together training emails to send out. It was at this point that I let them know that we actually had some pre-done emails ready for them to leverage through the Office 365 Admin Center.

In this short “HLS Show Me How” video I show how to quickly send out canned training emails to your organization for a range of different Office 365 products and services.

Hi @Mike Gannotti , thx for sharing this easy and effective solution :)

Do we have any chance to be able (as tenant administrator) to provide, manage, and share "internal", "custom" or "customer specific" content as well ? or it's only a tool to help drive adoption for Microsoft products ?

Thx for your guidance ;)

Hi @Deleted,

Certainly as an Admin their are many chances to create and distribute custom content! Leveraging Stream in combination with tools like PowerPoint Recording can enable you to create quick "Show Me How" videos that you can distribute. You could also create your own custom emails to either vetted pre-existing training content (from https://support.office.com/en-us/office-training-center ) online or mix between pre-existing and custom content. You could then aggregate all this via SharePoint Online for your users. If you don' want to build that out you might consider waiting for the upcoming Microsoft Training Services (see https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-SharePoint-Blog/Introducing-Microsoft-Training-Services/ba-p/195732 ) Hope this helps. If you want to see some concrete examples let me kow what kind and I will be happy to put together a quick video or two for our blog here.

Thanks!

@Mike Gannotti , Thank you for your answer.

I work with SharePoint Online but why trying to reinvent the wheel ... when Microsoft Training Services seems AWESOME ! :o . Is it still possible to be added to the pilot ? :) + Do you have any infos about pilot status ? ((it seems no updates if i refer on last comment )

For "some concrete examples" I don't have some yet but "Show Me How" is exactly question asked often by end-user and customer's admins too.

Thanks for your time,

Microsoft

Hi @Deleted,

I agree Training Services looks awesome. I don't have any further insight in to dates, etc. I suspect there may be additional information coming out from Ignite around this but I don't have any direct knowledge. In the meantime though you could definitely get jump started leveraging Teams for custom video content and then when Training Services does roll around you could leverage your new content within it.

@Mike Gannotti

I'm a big fan of Teams but i don't have hear that we can create videos with.unless if you talk about "record" feature, right ?

" In the meantime though you could definitely get jump started leveraging Teams for custom video content and then when Training Services does roll around you could leverage your new content within it." what you mean by that is : to use Stream as a video storage and sharing them with Teams ? + the fact that there could be possible for this new content to be used with Training Services in future ?

Microsoft

Hi @Deleted,

Yes I mean in terms of using Stream to store today and quick/simple exposing of that in interim through either SharePoint Web part or Teams. Also entails grouping through use of Channels/Groups. Then for content creation use of PowerPoint Recording as well as Teams Recording.
