I have tried most every combination of GPO settings and even resorted to running a Process Monitor trace but I can't seem to fix an issue where user profile changes aren't persistent. Two errors appear in the Profile log at logon along with two related errors at logoff: [Error: 00000001] Export registry failure (incorrect function) and [Error: 00000001 Profile Data Export Failure (incorrect function). The one exact match I found online went unresolved. Everything else works as expected - the virtual disk gets mounted on the session host server, the changes are folded from the differencing disk into the main .vhdx at logoff and the user profile is deleted on the session host at logoff. Microsoft Technical Support has not been able to provide a solution. Anyone had this same error and was able to fix it?
