Have you heard any rumors about any plans to update these exams to include all of new services that have been deployed?

Hey Dean,

They have recently been updated!  For example, 70-347 has:

"Configure Yammer.com; coauthoring, Office 365 groups; access files across multiple client devices; migrate files to OneDrive for Business; implement enterprise eDiscovery using the web UI and Windows PowerShell; implement Office 365 video; use Delve for collaboration; configure Data Loss Prevention"

So all the Delve and O365 video stuff which is cool!  I don't know if the actual exam has been updated, but the objectives have both been updated in  June 2016. Here are the notices:

70-346: http://download.microsoft.com/download/B/7/0/B7012C5B-5153-4CC9-8651-BC8FA1B15FCC/OD_70-346_changes....

70-347: http://download.microsoft.com/download/C/4/B/C4B3623D-7EBC-45A8-ADB7-A15F4D191BFD/OD_70-347_changes....

Thanks, but the page at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/exam-70-347.aspx shows that it was published on Feb 17, 2014, which is why I asked the question. Do you have any idea who to contact to get that updated so that we don't have to work so hard to learn about changes?

Try to ping https://twitter.com/MSLearning on twitter! Or use the live chat function on the MS learning site.

It's actually a good idea, Next update of the study guides I will also put the official courses!

Hi Vlad,

Just popped in to say that this is a great resource. The Posts are well formatted and easy reading and work fantastically as a central repository for lots of different options for information.

I'll definitely be sending this round my team for the guys who are thinking about studying for the MCSA.

In regards to the fact that O365 is such a fast moving target do you beleive that this exam and the content therein is still valid and of use as a knowledge validation tool?

I found that one of the best things about studying for the exams was that it forced me to learn about parts of O365 that I never used. This gave me a much better understanding of the full breadth of the services and provides me the knowledge to be a better consultant to my clients

Really good points Dean.

Thanks for your insight.

On the page for the Exam they do references the chanegs.  Right before the exam objectives, there is a link to the updates:

"As of June 30, 2016, this exam includes content covering the latest updates and features of Office 365. To learn more about these changes and how they affect the skills measured, please download and review the Exam 70-347 change document."

That course was  BS.. I took the course and the exam about 3 weeks later. The course covers a fundimental level but nothing at the level like what is asked on the 70-346 exam.

Platform Scholar has a bunch of free videos on YouTube for exam 70-346 as a preview of their full couse updated for 2017.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJuU1BAaEeVMTSopVX05Q9g

I'm not sure what the rules are for linking to commercial sites, but the full course is at http://online.platformscholar.com.  (Disclaimer: I am the author of this course)

I agree with Ryan 100%. I've talked with countless people who took the 70-346 exam and many fail first time. I've been told a bulk of it is PowerShell cmdlets and AD. I don't think this course is doing due diligence by not emphasing the obvious, PS cmdlets & AD.

Plus, I don't like how this course combines the measured skills of 346 & 347. I makes it difficult to follow which measured skills they're discussing, 346 or 347.

Holy smokes this is an incredible study guide. This test has been so difficult to methodically study for since the official test prep guides are years out of date! Thank you, if you're ever in Seattle I owe you all the beers!

Hi all,

Could someone shade a light on my confusion please, DO I NEED TO TAKE BOTH 70-346 & 70-347 TO EARN MCSA OFFICE 365 . or i can do one?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Yes you need to get both to become MCSA Office 365

I just wanted to say thanks to you Vlad. I just passed my MCSA: Office 365 on May 11th. Your guide is the most thourough guide that I could find online to guide my self study. Well done on the guide!

Hi Benaiah,

Congrats and well done!

Could you tell us little bit how was the exam. Since Office 365 subscription has changed. Was the exam based on those legacy  ones or the new suscriptions.

Regards,

Kamal
