Hi Team, In the documentation for the Teams Direct Routing carrier model, it states that in order to activate the customer trunk - for example, sbc1.customers.carrier.com - we need to create a user such as trunk@sbc1.customers.carrier.comand assign an E1, E3 or E5 license. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/direct-routing-sbc-multiple-tenants#activate-the-subdomain-name We do this for all of our customers when we set them up, but they are resistant to leave these licenses in place long term, especially when they're a smaller customer where two additional E1 licenses per month is extremely unattractive. In my lab I've found that this license can be removed once the trunk has been activated, but I'm unwilling to roll this change out to my customers if it's not a documented feature, and possibly run the risk of an outage. Has anyone had any experience in this? I'd love to save my smaller customers a few bucks a month.Solved3.7KViews1like3CommentsMicrosft Teams Licensing (Phone Device)
Greetings, We are a small company and use MS Teams for all of our Telecom needs. I have an old Polycom VVX 410 (Teams compatible) that I would like to setup in our conference room as the shared phone for meetings. My question is, what is the bare minimum license I would need to get to enable that phone for call-out only? We should never have the need for inbound calls. Thanks EGSolved3.5KViews0likes8CommentsRemove Teams License
We have a Microsoft 365 Business Premium tenant, and we would like to block all access to Teams for one or more employees. I'm testing this with a user account that has had Teams access; the employee has left the company and I changed that account password. According to MS, "You can disable or enable Teams for a user by removing or assigning a license at any time.". Definitely after removing that license the app gets removed from the online Office "dashboard" but if I login to a locally installed Teams client app as that user, the account still has normal Teams access. ?? Is this a bug or is it just a matter of it taking a period (of hours, days, etc) for the Teams service to pickup the change? It's been 24hrs so far.Solved9.9KViews0likes7Comments
