the bypass activation lock policy is not applying when adding an ipad to a group. Therefore I am unable to get the code from Intune.
When adding iPad to “Bypass lock activation” group. State is still showing “Not applicable”. Any ideas?
Did I miss a step or configuration that is or has caused this?

Did you ever get anywhere with this, my test iPhone devices are all showing Not Applicable for Allow Activation Lock, I don't want to roll it out further if it doesn't work
...I think I just found it actually, it's because the device wasn't added to intune via ABM
