We have a hybrid setup and are just starting to migrate users but I notice that even though we have migrated users, and all seems to be working, I have not assigned them an E3 license that contains the exchange plan 2 yet - they do have an E3 license but I have not selected the Exchange plan yet.
Why is it working, or do you not actually need the license assigning ?

SolutionYou get 30 days grace period, should be mentioned in the documentation.
