Syncing Contacts Between GAL's and Tenancies

Brass Contributor

Forgive the cross post

Wondering if this has been covered already.

We have 2 companties with there own O365 tenancy and dirsync and adfs

They want to have contacts distributed to each others domain

Is there a easy automatic way for this.  Instead of exporting to csv and uploading into the other domain

Hello David,

If you have something like Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)/Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) then you can still acomplish this pretty easily, even on multuple tenants.

That is only valid for large customers that are going to be paying the cost to have something like MIM howver. For us normal folks, unfortunately it is not nearly as automated.

I have solved this by creating contacts in the opposing tenants. If you have admin access to each AADC server/AD this is not that complicated to do, but it is still something that is not natively automated.

Hope this helps!
Adam

You can automate using Powershell to Export to a file and then to import to Office 365, or you can automate using Orchestrator.

You have to create using this methods or MIM like Adam said.

Hey,

I know this is an old post, but I've been looking into this very thing myself recently and came across this blog post from 2015.  It seems the developer is working on a new version too.
