Restrict users access to emails outside the company

Hi, we have exchange 2016 deployed in our company. For security reasons, we blocked access to emails (exchange server) from outside the company by using the fortigate firewall.

Now, the organization wants to restrict specific users (UpTo 50 users) to access their emails from outside the company. Now, on the firewall we can not implement this specific case.

So, my question is how can we implement this scenario on exchange 2016.

Hi @amkhanfch 

If you have Azure AD you can publish exchange server through application proxy and implement MFA policy to restrict access to Exchange Server.

Thanks for you reply. We do not have Azure AD.
