Question on Exchange Online Tenant migration
Hi Community,
Our customer currently uses the Office 365 E3 licenses under the tenancy of their parent company based in US. They would like to break away from US and be a direct Microsoft Tenant through EBC as their Microsoft partner. They also want their international sites in France, Italy and Turkey to have Office 365 and linked to the UK as their parent organization. They would like to be able to provide Office 365 to all 4 sites under one organization.
Here are the details of the Tenants, Currently each site has their own active directory domain at present and the sites are not linked to each other. Going forward we would like to connect these sites together using SD-WAN under one primary active directory forest with individual domains and domain controllers for each site.
Tenant1 - United Kingdom
100 users
Microsoft Active Directory Domain
Microsoft Office 365 Tenant
Tenant2 -France
20 Users
Microsoft Active Directory Domain
Microsoft Office 365 Tenant
On-prem AD Forest -Italy
60 Users
Microsoft Active Directory Domain
On-Premise Exchange Server v2010
On-prem AD Forest - Turkey
30 Users
Microsoft Active Directory Domain
On-Premise Exchange Server 2010
Questions:
1. Can we go with Microsoft 365 Multi-Geo approach in this specific use case?
2. Can anyone advice on the possible structure of active directory for linking to office 365?
Many thanks in advance!
- With fewer than 250 users, you likely won't qualify for multi-geo, and you likely don't need it either. Single tenant will work fine, unless you have some specific data residency requirements you need to address.
