Question about Mailbox in Migration Scenario




doing a Migration from OnPrem to Exo. Different UPNs on both systems!
In the past we use the systems in parallel, online the users just use Teams with the formerly free Licence, which creates a Mailbox for storing the 1:1 Teams chat. But afterwards they using also Mailing with the online account.
Question is, what happens, when i do a migration, with on board tool, does the tool merge the two inboxes or replace? What happens with Mails, Calendering, Chats, Personal Adressbooks?
How could i handle this, helpful would be any recommendation and public articles around this topic.

That depends on the tool you'd use, but generally speaking there is no "merging", unless you go with third-party tools (or manual PST export/import).
