Migrating Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 Public Folders with Contact info only (Exportable)

Copper Contributor

Hello,

We are in process of Migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016, I have seen the recommended procedure using scripts from Microsoft to Migrate the Public Folders. As I read through that article, I see it is mostly concerned with mail enabled Public Folders.

In our case we only have few Public Folders that only contain contact information and very easily exportable. I can copy them to a mailbox and then move them to the Public Folders on Exchange 2016

Do I still have to go through the process outlined here

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/collaboration/public-folders/batch-migration-from-previous...

Thank you

The procedure is just what Microsoft "supports" as a migration solution, you can always do an export/import or use 3rd party tools.

Thank you for your response, so is there any System Public Folders that needs to Migrate?
