Migrate mailbox to Exchange Online keeping mailbox archive on-premises.

I have a requirement of migrating mailboxes from Exchange Server to Exchange Online.

The plan is to setup the Exchange Hybrid and migrate only the mailbox data and keep the archive data on-premises initially, as archive data is huge and migrating both mailbox and archive data together will take longer time.

Is it possible to migrate just the mailbox data to Exchange Online and link it with archive which is on-premises.

What is the process for linking Online mailbox with on-premises archive.

The only supported archive split scenario is a primary mailbox on-premises and an archive mailbox in Exchange Online.
