I need to migrate existing distribution lists from Exchange onpremise to Exchange online.
- create M365 groups
- add the users from the distribution list
- more active user gets email copy and allow email from external
- change SMTP entries of the distribution list
- run ADConnect through
- change SMTP entries of M365 group
- delete distribution list
What is noticed: the step user gets email copy and mail from external can take up to several hours. What are your experiences here?
How long can it take until the SMTP entries are processed?
