Legacy auth

Iron Contributor

Hello

I have a few applications that are still using IMAP4, Autodiscover, and Authenticated SMTP. These protocols are showing up un my "legacyAuth" report. I'm currently reviewing the below article. If my applications must continue to use "IMAP4" and "Authenticated SMTP", do i need to configure OAuth for these protocols ? Are  there another options that i can give to my application owner besides having to create OAuth registered applications ?

For now, you can add exceptions (https://office365itpros.com/2021/09/27/basic-authentication-disappears-exchange-online/). Going forward, OAuth is the way.
