Exchange 2016 shared mailbox sent items going in personal sent items

When delegated users to a shared mailbox have FullAccess and SendAs permissions to that mailbox my customers have been reporting that the emails sent by the Shared mailbox ends up in their ‘personal’ sent items folder.
It was my impression that the default behaviour to this was that all mail sent by delegates of a shared mailbox ends up in the shared mailbox sent items folder?

Could anyone please advise as to whether it is possible to change the behaviour of the shared mailbox so that all messages end up in ‘sent items’ of the mailbox itself rather then the delegate users personal folder?
