Exchange 2016 Multi Tenant

Copper Contributor

Hi All,

Can Exchange 2016 be installed with the /hosting switch to configure it as a multi-tenancy (like it was back in the Exchange 2010 SP1 days with the /hosting switch) or is it just a matter of installing Exchange 2016 normally and segregating organisations with address book policies and custom attributes?

Thank you

Hi Hambik,

Exchange 2016 does not have that switch. Please see this article https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997281(v=exchg.160).aspx

To have Exchange 2016 in Multi Tenant, please follow this guides https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dn756468.aspx , and yes using segregation with address book, among others described on the following document https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36790

Thank you Nuno
