Excahnge 2019 database moving

Hello, I have two exchange servers running with four databases. I am training to split active database so two can run in each server, but every time I move/activate database in the second server, after about 10 minutes the database become active on the original server.  Any idea what could be the reason?

Hi @Mohd7444,

In case you are talking about a DAG and you want to move the DAG Server, you have to set the respective server into Maintenance Mode, otherwise it will balance the Databases again.

The database copy will have an activation preference setting, which tells Exchange which DB is the preferred active DB. The DAG automatically rebalances the active mailbox DB's depending on these numbers, and my guess that is what is occurring.

Thanks  @Dan Snape . It was related to activation preference setting. I am good now.
