My email address was with onmicrosoft domain. I changed it with my custom domain and deleted the alias. Nevertheless the emails from some organizations are sent to the old onmicrosoft email address instead of the mailbox with custom domain even they write the correct email address. How is this possible, is there a solution for this?

If you have changed the address to the custom domain, kindly inform the sender to remove the old onmicrosoft.com address from the autocomplete list.
Please confirm if the mails sent to the onmicrosoft.com address gets bounced back.
