I have a customer who just insourced their infrastructure. Their AD is synced with Azure, and they have online mailboxes for all their AD users.
The former hosting provider did not create an on-prem Exchange org for them, so they have to manage mail attributes directly on the AD object with attribute editor.
Now they want me to create a hybrid environment for easier mail user management.
What options are there? Can I install Exchange and just point to the mailboxes with enable-remotemailbox? What are the risks?
