Couldn't Migrate Mailbox to Echange Online - cause Mailbox exist :(

Hello, i want to migrate an local User to Exchange Online - but i get an Error, that the migration failed, the Mailbox exist now on local AND on Exchange Online, but on the local are all content in the Mailbox, but the Mailbox on Exchange Online the Mailbox is empty.

 

How can i fix it? I want the Mailbox only on Exchange Online.

 

Did you need more information an if yes, which?

Fehler: MigrationPermanentException: Postfach ‎'AD.local/NAME/USERS/OFFICE365/Peter XXX' befindet sich bereits in der Zieldatenbank ‎'MDB01‎'. --> Postfach ‎'AD.local/NAME/USERS/OFFICE365/Peter XXX' befindet sich bereits in der Zieldatenbank ‎'MDB01‎'. 

 

Means:

 

Error: MigrationPermanentException: Mailbox‎ 'AD.local/NAME/USERS/OFFICE365/Peter XXX' exist in the Targetdatabase ‎'MDB01‎'. --> Mailbox ‎'AD.local/AME/USERS/OFFICE365/Peter XXX' exist in the Targetdatabase ‎'MDB01‎'.

Solution

Assuming you have no content for this user in  Exchange, you could clear the recipient data:

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Exchange-Team-Blog/Permanently-Clear-Previous-Mailbox-Info/ba...

then try to move the mailbox again.

Looks good, now i can migrate the Mailbox - wating if the License are accepted.

So i can close the MS call :).
