Can an unlicensed Shared mailbox be added as a separate mailbox in Outlook ?

Copper Contributor

I am trying to add a shared mailbox as a separate account in Outlook. I've seen this options in many blogs that we can enter shared mailbox address and our personal account password to make this work. But unfortunately this is not working. I'm in O365. Could anyone please provide a final answer to this query :) ? So that I can stop the search.

Yes, it can. When prompted for credentials, you do need to use your own (the delegate's). Step by step instructions here: https://www.michev.info/Blog/Post/2025/how-to-add-a-shared-mailbox-as-additional-account-in-outlook-...
A bit outdated by now, but you get the idea :)
