accept email from SQL database mail

Copper Contributor

hello everyone,

i have an exchange edge transport server and sql database, i want to send email notification from sql to an  exchange mailbox.  i set up DBmail with an AD account and configured it to send mail to the edge transport server. The emails are blocked by content filtering on the edge transport server. I can disable content filtering for sender and everything works but is this good practice ? do i need a recieve connector on the mailbox server configured to accept mail from the sql server? would that be better/safer. advice please.

Regards,
