XLOOKUP is great! Best new feature in years. Once you've gone there, you'll never revert to VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH.

But: Annoyingly, when using the step-by-step function builder (which gives me better control), Excel reverts to result table when I have input the Lookup_Array? Why? The next step must be the Result_Array, so why not stay in same table/array? Even more annoying then looking up in another spreadsheet and you have to Alt-Tab not once, but twice to get to the source.

Bug or design flaw?
