I am creating a checking account register pivot table which contains many (blank) cells, found information for using ;;; as a wild card but not on Mac version 16.38. Please advise

On my Mac (also Excel 16.38) the wild card has been the question mark (?) in place of single characters.
Is it possible for you to post the worksheet and ask the question a bit more completely?
