Working hours excel

Hi everyone I need help for the following task.

I want to calculate day and night working hours in a sheet. My night hours are 22.00 to 6.00.

But keep in mind that sometimes I work from 23.00 to 08.00 so 6.00 to 8.00 have to be added to the day hours. Thank you in advance

=MOD(end_time - start_time, 1)

hi thank you for your resposnse. I might have asked th wrong question.  I would like to calculate in different cells my day and night hours.

ex. If i work 21.00 to 05.00

day cell gives 1 and night cell 7.
