When drop down list item is changed, clear contents in next row

Hello, 

I have an excel table that when a drop down item is changed I would like it to clear the notified column next to it.  I am looking to complete this without any VBA codes.  I need the document to auto-save, I have not found a way to auto-save it using macros.

Example above, if I change Pending parts to say sub-contractor, I would like it to clear the yes

As far as I know, it is not possible to clear a cell when the value of another cell is changed without VBA code.

when a drop down item is changed
the column status have a drop down item for each row? how you build so many drop downs?

I would like it to clear the notified column next to it

why need such function?filter?
Is there a way to add text to the next row instead of clearing it without using VBA?

You could enter a formula in the next cell.
