What formula to use

Brass Contributor

Good evening,

Would anyone be able to help me with the following please?

I have a formula that looks at a table for specific parts and returns "kitting".  The problem is that the order may have kitting parts but other items which are not kitting on the order.  What Function or formula would I be best to use where it returns a value that states "only kitting" or "multitokitting"?

I have attached the spreadsheet.

Many thanks and Kind regards

Rachel

This request is not clear. Even if (as I suspect) we do not need to know what "G KITTING" is:

  1. Does each row represent the intended delivery of one PART?
  2. In cell F1, what does "COUNT LINES COLUMN" mean?
  3. How can a formula identify what constitutes an ORDER? E.g., does an ORDER comprise all rows with the same Delivery Number?
  4. What is the formula intended to return if the ORDER contains only G KITTING: "only kitting" (as per the post) or "GKITTING OUTSIDE" (as per cell F1)?
  5. What is the formula intended to return if the ORDER contains no G KITTING?
  6. Might this worksheet be expected to handle types of kitting other than G KITTING, if such exist?

Which version of Excel are you using?
