I have a built out quote tool in excel that is used by salesman for pricing. An issue we are encountering is that we have salesman using out of date quote tools. Whenever we make changes we send out a fresh excel file with the updated changes. Is there a good solution to prevent users from using older versions of the file and only allow them access to the newest version. I have tried looking at ways to do this but every way that I found was fairly advanced and not feasible for my end users who know nothing about excel.
@BMK-520 I'm no expert on the matter on how to prevent users from using the wrong files, but I have quite some experience in dealing with sales people when it comes to calculating their commissions. Sales reps are driven by earning commissions. Add a simple business rule stating that commission will only be earned on orders that were based on the valid calculation tool.
