Use nested IF-THEN statements to fill cells with different colors

Copper Contributor

I need a formula that will look at the selected cells, and depending on the text found, color each one appropriately. I can do this with one text string and one color, but I have multiple text strings, and I'd like to be able to mark each one with its own color. Thanks!

You can use conditional formatting.

Create a rule for each string/color.

Of course! I was so stuck on if-then-else, I didn't think of that. Thanks very much!
